HEY FRIENDS, MY NAME IS RANGER. AND, I HAVE A SPECIAL ROLE AT GREYHOUND OPTIONS INC.

Some of what I do is top secret so I can’t tell you about it. But, it is all legal. I definitely do NOT engage in any unlawful activities. I am new to the organization so I still have a lot to learn. But, I have been tasked this week with making sure our supporters know how much their help matters.

So, let me start by saying your help truly matters! (I know, I’m a quick study.)

As I’m sure you probably know, it isn’t easy to find domestic Greyhounds who need homes now since most U.S. tracks have closed. But, there are still many of my Greyhound friends, in other countries, who would give anything for a loving home here in the U.S. And your help makes that possible. I want to give you big, wet, kisses for that.

As you can imagine, bringing a Greyhound to the U.S. from another country is a big undertaking. But it is being done, and many of my good Irish buddies are now here living the life of Riley and are having a whale of a time. G.O. would have a very difficult time placing dogs if they had to ask potential adopters for the full cost involved. Airfare alone costs on average $1,800 per dog. Yikes, that is a lot of nickels!

I just want you to know that your support makes it possible for Greyhounds to move on to the next stage of their journey and become someone’s best friend and companion.

My wish for you: May your home always be too small to hold all your friends (and Greyhounds). I added the “and Greyhounds” to this common Irish saying.

See you again soon,

-Ranger
